Fri Apr 18 01:54:00 UTC 2025: ## Bengaluru Youth Tackle Social Issues at SolveCon 2025

**Bengaluru, India (April 18, 2025)** – Over 300 young people gathered in Bengaluru for SolveCon 2025, a youth-focused initiative hosted by social enterprise Reap Benefit. The sixth edition of the event, held at Bangalore Creative Circus, focused on collaborative problem-solving and civic engagement. Participants, disconnected from their phones for the day, engaged in interactive games and workshops addressing climate action, social justice, and local governance.

Four young leaders, Kuppendra S (tackling plastic waste and advocating for migrant workers), Aakash Kudla (upcycling glass waste), Aishwarya Selvam (leading clean-up drives), and Shiva Kumar (empowering the LGBTQ+ community), shared their inspiring work and served as role models.

The event featured 14 organizations, including Mercy Mission, Terrum, and Dream A Dream, offering hands-on experiences and workshops facilitated by experts covering topics such as eco-anxiety and data-driven change. These “Solver Jams” aimed to equip participants with the skills to create positive local impact.

SolveCon founder Kuldeep Dantewadia emphasized the event’s goal: not to teach agency, but to unlock it within young people. Since its inception in 2024, SolveCon has engaged over 800 young people across several Indian cities.
