**SHIVAMOGGA, INDIA (April 18, 2025)** – The Nam Team, a theatre troupe based in Shivamogga, Karnataka, will present a theatrical adaptation of *Mrucchakatika*, a classic Sanskrit play by Shudraka, this Sunday. The performance of *Vasanthasene*, based on N.S. Lakshminarayana Bhat’s translation, will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the Kuvempu Rangamandira.

Directed by veteran photojournalist and theatre enthusiast H.U. Vaidyanath, the production features original music composed by Srikanth Kalamanji. Vaidyanath, who has previously directed several other plays, stated that this production fulfilled a long-held ambition. The Nam Team is encouraging audience participation, offering prizes for the best reviews submitted after the performance. Honnali Chandrashekhar of the Nam Team announced the audience participation initiative.
