**MAMMOTH LAKES, Calif. (AP) —** Haley Joel Osment, the Oscar-nominated actor known for his roles in “The Sixth Sense” and “A.I.,” has been charged with public intoxication and cocaine possession following an arrest at a California ski resort earlier this month.
The Mono County District Attorney’s office announced the misdemeanor charges Thursday against the 37-year-old actor. Osment was arrested April 8th at Mammoth Mountain ski resort. He is scheduled to be arraigned on July 7th.
A representative for Osment has not yet commented on the charges. This is not Osment’s first brush with the law; in 2006, he was charged with DUI and marijuana possession. He also recently lost his home in the January Eaton Fire in Altadena, California. Despite these challenges, Osment has maintained a successful career, recently appearing in shows like “The Kominsky Method” and “What We Do in the Shadows.”
