**HYDERABAD, April 18, 2025** – Churches across Hyderabad observed Good Friday with special prayer services and moving Passion Plays depicting the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Large crowds gathered at St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Gunfoundry, where a dramatic Passion Play elicited strong emotional responses from attendees. Similar performances were held at other churches, including St. Mary’s Basilica in Secunderabad and the Holy Family Church in Trimulgherry, starting as early as 7 a.m. Many churches provided additional accommodations for worshippers, including tented areas and refreshments. The events marked a solemn commemoration of the crucifixion within the Christian community.
