**New Delhi, India** – The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Delhi on April 19th, warning of a partly cloudy sky with thunderstorms and a potential dust storm. Wind speeds are expected to range from 30-40 km/h, with gusts up to 50 km/h.

Delhi experienced scorching temperatures on Thursday, reaching a high of 40.6°C (3.8°C above normal) and a low of 25.7°C (4.1°C above normal). This marks the second-highest temperature of the season so far.

The IMD forecasts strong winds and partly cloudy skies for Friday, with wind speeds between 20-40 km/h. The maximum and minimum temperatures are predicted to be 39°C and 25°C, respectively. Partly cloudy skies and strong winds are also expected for Saturday, with a chance of light rain. Sunday is expected to be clear and sunny, leading to a rise in temperatures. A significant heatwave is anticipated from Monday to Thursday, with temperatures potentially exceeding 45°C.
