CHENNAI, April 18, 2025 – Chennai City Police Commissioner A. Arun today commended two inspectors for their outstanding work in securing convictions in two separate murder cases.

Inspector S. Meenakshisundaram, formerly of the Mylapore station, was recognized for his investigation into the March 26, 2021 murder of Kabali (38). Meenakshisundaram’s thorough investigation led to the arrest of Kabali’s wife and brother, who were subsequently sentenced to life imprisonment on April 8, 2025.

Similarly, Inspector E. Ramasundaram, formerly of the Thiruvanmiyur station, received accolades for his work on the April 30, 2022 double murder case. His investigation resulted in the arrest and conviction of Dinesh (24), who was sentenced to double life imprisonment on April 15, 2025.

Commissioner Arun praised both inspectors for their diligence and dedication in bringing the perpetrators to justice, highlighting the importance of thorough police work in ensuring successful prosecutions.
