TOKYO, April 18, 2025 – Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy concluded a successful investment roadshow in Tokyo, Japan, attracting significant interest from Japanese businesses. The event, part of the India-Japan Economic Partnership, highlighted Telangana’s burgeoning industrial ecosystem and strategic location as a “China+1” alternative.
Addressing over 150 Japanese business representatives, Mr. Reddy emphasized Telangana’s world-class infrastructure, skilled workforce, and supportive investment policies across sectors including life sciences, electronics, and renewable energy. He invited Japanese companies to participate in the state’s “TelanganaRising” initiative, drawing parallels between Japan’s “Land of the Rising Sun” moniker and the state’s ambitious growth plans.
The roadshow, attended by India’s ambassador to Japan, Sibi George, and JETRO director general Toshihiro Mizutani, showcased promotional videos of flagship projects like the proposed Future City – India’s first Net Zero industrial city – and the Musi Riverfront Rejuvenation Project. Following the main event, the Telangana delegation held individual meetings with top Japanese business conglomerates.
Mr. Reddy’s pitch focused on Telangana’s potential as a prime investment destination, emphasizing the state’s commitment to sustainable partnerships and its potential to become a key player in the global economy. The Chief Minister’s concluding message urged Japanese businesses to “Come to Telangana, find a China+1 alternative. Invest, thrive, grow and succeed. Hyderabad will feel like home.”
