**CHICAGO, IL –** The Oakland Athletics defeated the Chicago White Sox 3-1 on Wednesday night, snapping the White Sox’s three-game losing streak and extending their own winning streak to two. A sixth-inning, two-run triple by Gio Urshela proved to be the difference-maker in the chilly contest.

JJ Bleday contributed three hits, including an RBI single that tied the game in the sixth. Osvaldo Bido earned the win for Oakland, pitching 5 2/3 innings, allowing just one run and five hits. Mason Miller secured his fifth save of the season, striking out the side in the ninth.

Brooks Baldwin’s solo home run in the third inning gave the White Sox an early lead, but Chicago’s offense struggled to generate runs against Oakland’s pitching. White Sox starter Jonathan Cannon pitched effectively, allowing only three hits over 4 1/3 scoreless innings, but the bullpen faltered. Tyler Gilbert took the loss after surrendering the tying run. A crucial catch by Bleday in right-center field also prevented further damage for the White Sox.
