**Vijayawada, April 18, 2025** – The Andhra Pradesh government announced a one-time relaxation of the upper age limit for applicants to the District Selection Committee (DSC). The limit has been raised from 42 to 44 years for the upcoming Mega District Selection Committee recruitment.
The government order specifies that this is a special case and will not apply to future recruitments or other aspects of employment, including promotions, pensions, or departmental exams. The cut-off date for age calculation is July 1, 2024.
This move is expected to benefit many aspirants who were previously ineligible due to a seven-year delay in the release of the DSC notification, according to members of the A.P. Nirudhyoga Joint Action Committee.
