**FORT WORTH, TX** – The 2025 NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championships are underway at Dickies Arena, featuring a thrilling competition among 36 teams vying for the national title. The championship, which runs through April 19th, will see teams battle it out in a two-session semifinal format, with the top two teams from each advancing to the final.

The field includes teams seeded 1-16 by the NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Committee, along with geographically placed teams. Adding to the excitement, 12 all-around competitors and 64 individual event specialists, not affiliated with qualifying teams, will also compete for individual honors. The team championship will be awarded based on the highest cumulative team score (five scores per event).

Early play-in rounds saw BYU defeat Utah State (195.950 to 194.475) and Illinois edge out UC Davis (195.475 to 194.050). LSU will be looking to defend their title after their historic first-ever national championship win last season. The final results and the new champion will be announced on April 19th.
