**Guntur, Andhra Pradesh –** Guntur District police have arrested three individuals and seized 500 grams of ‘Hydro Ganja,’ a high-grade cannabis, valued at approximately ₹7.5 lakh (approximately $90,000 USD). The arrests, made near Kaza Toll Plaza on April 15th, followed credible intelligence gathered by police.
The accused, identified as Indukuri Ramakrishnam Raju (35), Puruganti Anil Kumar (30), and Nagaraju Sri Harshavardhan Varma (27), were transporting the drug from Bengaluru to Eluru. Police seized the contraband along with two cars and three mobile phones.
According to Guntur District Superintendent of Police S. Satish Kumar, preliminary investigations indicate that Anil Kumar, with a prior criminal record including two drug offenses, introduced the others to the illegal trade. Kumar reportedly stated that ‘Hydro Ganja’ commands a high price, nearly doubling its purchase cost upon sale.
SP Satish Kumar warned of strict legal action against those involved in narcotics trafficking and urged young people to avoid drug use. He praised the police team, led by DSP Murali Krishna, for their swift action.
