Thu Apr 17 16:06:27 UTC 2025: **Shiv Sena Leader Accuses BJP of Instigating Violence in West Bengal**

MUMBAI, INDIA (April 17, 2025) – Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut today backed West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s claim that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is inciting violence in the state. The unrest followed protests against the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2025, resulting in three deaths and property damage in Murshidabad.

Raut stated that the BJP, failing to secure power in states like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal, resorts to creating unrest. He also defended the party’s use of AI to recreate the voice of the late Bal Thackeray, challenging critics to debate the authenticity of the recreated speeches.

The politician further launched a strong attack against Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, calling him a “traitor,” and criticized the state government for budget cuts affecting the Ladki Behan scheme, impacting women, farmers, and students. His comments add to the escalating political tensions in West Bengal, where opposition parties continue to accuse the BJP of destabilizing non-BJP ruled states.
