Gandhi cited a media report and his own previous meetings with pilots, highlighting 14-hour shifts, continuous night duty, lack of adequate rest, food breaks, and even toilet facilities.
Gandhi, who shared a media report on X (formerly Twitter) detailing the issues, accused the railways of shirking responsibility after accidents by attributing them to “human error,” without addressing the underlying systemic problems. He further stated that the government’s formation of a committee to address the pilots’ concerns was merely a symbolic gesture, lacking any genuine intent to improve their working conditions. Even basic demands for food and toilet breaks, Gandhi claimed, have been rejected as “impractical.”
