Thu Apr 17 08:20:00 UTC 2025: **Child Stabbed Fellow Passenger with Fork on Qatar Airways Flight**
NEW YORK, NY – A disturbing incident unfolded aboard a Qatar Airways flight from Doha to New York’s JFK airport. A young child, while her mother slept, allegedly stabbed a fellow passenger with a metal fork. The unprovoked attack occurred as the child roamed the aisle.
According to multiple passenger accounts, the child’s disruptive behavior escalated when she jabbed the passenger with the fork. The victim, understandably upset, reacted by brandishing a sandal, intending to prevent further attacks. A flight attendant intervened, confiscating the fork from the child. Another crew member attempted to wake the child’s mother, who reportedly showed little concern and did not discipline her daughter.
Later in the flight, the child’s sibling also became disruptive, prompting flight attendants to attempt to manage the children with snacks and entertainment until the plane landed.
The incident has sparked intense debate online, with many criticizing the mother’s lack of supervision and control. While some commentators suggested the victim’s response was inappropriate, others argued that the mother bears full responsibility for her child’s actions. Calls for the mother to face consequences, ranging from airline bans to legal action, are prominent in online discussions. The possibility of the passenger filing charges against the child is also being considered. The Port Authority Police Department are reportedly reviewing the matter.
Qatar Airways has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
