**Mysuru, Karnataka, April 17, 2025** – A statewide truckers’ strike in Karnataka has ended after successful negotiations between the government and the Mysore Lorry Owners’ Association. Goods transport operations, which had ground to a halt, resumed Thursday evening in Mysuru following assurances from the Transport Minister.
Over 9,000 trucks in Mysuru alone had participated in the strike, impacting the livelihoods of approximately 18,000 workers. Kodandaram, president of the Mysore Lorry Owners’ Association, confirmed the strike’s conclusion following a meeting in Bengaluru with government officials. He expects smooth goods transport to resume fully on Friday.
