Thu Apr 17 14:40:00 UTC 2025: **Mumbai Indians Win Toss, Opt to Bowl First Against Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2025 Clash**

Mumbai, India – Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and elected to bowl first against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 33rd match of IPL 2025 at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday. Both teams fielded unchanged squads.

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s opening batsmen, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, received early reprieves. Sharma, however, eventually fell for 40 runs off 28 balls, while Ishan Kishan managed only 2 runs. Head’s innings ended on 28 runs from 29 balls. He was initially dismissed for 24 but was given a reprieve due to a no-ball.

Head’s dismissal, courtesy of Will Jacks, marked the second Sunrisers wicket. At the 11.1 over mark, Sunrisers Hyderabad were 82/3.

Pandya, despite suffering an ankle injury during the eighth over which required treatment, completed his bowling spell. The powerplay yielded 46 runs for Hyderabad without a loss.

While Jasprit Bumrah’s form continues to be a concern for Mumbai, Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head, after a stellar performance in their previous match, were initially expected to be key for Hyderabad.

Mumbai Indians, with only two wins from their six matches, are looking to improve their performance in the tournament. Sunrisers Hyderabad’s playing XI included Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Heinrich Klaasen (wk), Ankit Verma, Pat Cummins (c), Harshal Patel, Jishan Ansari, Mohammed Shami, and Ishan Malinga.
