**NAGERCOIL, INDIA (April 17, 2025)** – A Fast Track Mahila Court in Kuzhithurai, India, sentenced a man to 12 years in prison for abetting the suicide of a 22-year-old woman in 2018. A. Rajesh was found guilty of sexually harassing the victim, leading to her self-immolation.
The woman, from Killiyur, suffered severe burns and later died during treatment at a hospital. Rajesh was charged under sections 451, 354(A), and 306 of the Indian Penal Code. Judge R.
