Hyderabad, April 17, 2025 – Congress MP Chamala Kiran Reddy has set a record for perfect attendance in the 18th Lok Sabha, attending every session from June 24, 2024, to April 4, 2025. This is according to performance data released for Telangana MPs. Mr. Reddy, representing Bhongir, also ranked second in the number of questions raised, with 79, just one fewer than Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender.
While Reddy’s achievement highlights dedication to parliamentary proceedings, the data reveals a wider disparity in engagement among Telangana MPs. Several MPs showed low participation in debates and attendance. While Etala Rajender had a 91.17% attendance rate, others like D.K. Aruna and Dharmapuri Arvind achieved 88.23%, and Suresh Shetkar had 86.76%. Conversely, several MPs participated in very few debates; some even failing to participate in any. AIMIM’s Asaduddin Owaisi led in debate participation with 21 contributions.
The data underscores significant variation in the level of engagement among Telangana’s representatives in the Lok Sabha.
