**MIAMI, FL –** The Arizona Diamondbacks powered their way to a 6-2 victory over the Miami Marlins on Wednesday night, extending their winning streak to four games. Lourdes Gurriel Jr.’s two-run homer highlighted a four-homer performance for Arizona, with solo shots also coming from Josh Naylor, Pavin Smith, and Tim Tawa (his first major league home run).

The Diamondbacks’ potent offense propelled them to their sixth win in seven games, rebounding strongly from a recent three-game losing skid. Corbin Carroll continued his impressive on-base streak, extending it to a career-high 24 games with a go-ahead RBI single in the fifth inning. This streak ties him for the longest active run in Major League Baseball.

Brandon Pfaadt (3-1) earned the win for Arizona, pitching 5 2/3 innings, allowing one run and five hits while striking out six batters. While Matt Mervis hit his fourth homer off Pfaadt in the fourth, the Diamondbacks’ powerful bats proved too much for the Marlins’ pitching. Miami starter Max Meyer (1-2) pitched a solid game, striking out eight, but ultimately took the loss.

The Marlins managed only one run until the eighth, when Otto Lopez doubled in a run. Despite multiple hits from Xavier Edwards and Jesús Sánchez, the Marlins couldn’t overcome the Diamondbacks’ offensive explosion.

The Diamondbacks now look to complete a three-game sweep on Thursday, with Eduardo Rodriguez taking the mound for Arizona against Edward Cabrera for Miami.
