**VISAKHAPATNAM, Andhra Pradesh – April 18, 2025** – The death toll from a recent fireworks factory explosion in Kailasapatnam village, Anakapalli district, has risen to nine. J. Nagaraju, who had been on a ventilator at KGH CSR Block hospital, succumbed to his injuries Thursday. At least one other victim remains in critical condition at a hospital in Venkojipalem, prompting their family to appeal for government intervention. The explosion occurred at a fireworks unit in Kotavuratla mandal.
