**Thiruvananthapuram, April 17, 2025** – An employee of the Accountant General’s office in Thiruvananthapuram was arrested on Thursday for allegedly cultivating cannabis plants at his rented house. Jathin (27), a native of Rajasthan, was apprehended by an Excise Special Squad following a tip-off. Five cannabis plants, seeds, and cultivation implements were seized from the terrace of his residence in Kamaleswaram. While Jathin resided with two colleagues, authorities found no evidence linking them to the illegal activity. Jathin has been residing at the location for the past ten months.
