TIRUPATI, April 17, 2025 – Forty rural women from Srikalahasti have completed a 90-day beautician training program, transforming their lives and prospects. The initiative, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project by Electrosteel Castings Limited (ECL), aims to equip local women with employable skills. The women, previously engaged in farming and household duties, now possess professional skills and a renewed sense of purpose.
The successful completion of two batches, totaling 40 women, culminated in a valedictory ceremony where Tirupati Municipal Corporation Commissioner N. Mourya presented beauty kits to the graduates. A third batch of 30 women is already underway, demonstrating the program’s success in changing mindsets within the community.
Commissioner Mourya encouraged the new beauticians to leverage social media platforms for marketing their services. ECL executives, including Executive Director Suresh Khandelwal and Senior General Manager Dorai Rauj, emphasized the company’s commitment to improving the lives of surrounding communities through such initiatives. ECL’s previous successes in tailoring and fashion design courses were also highlighted.
The event also showcased ECL’s commitment to environmental sustainability, with a visit to the sewage treatment plant utilized by the company. ECL praised the Tirupati Municipal Corporation’s support in this endeavor.
