KOCHI: The Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) is set to expel actor Shine Tom Chacko following allegations of drug abuse and misconduct on a film set. An ad-hoc committee will meet to finalize the decision, with an official announcement expected soon.
The allegations stem from a social media post by actress Vincy Aloshious, who publicly named Chacko as the actor who behaved inappropriately after consuming drugs. Aloshious has filed complaints with the Film Chamber and the internal complaints committee of the film industry.
Following Aloshious’s statement, the Excise Department has initiated an investigation, collecting information and pursuing further inquiries. Aloshious reported that Chacko misbehaved after using drugs on the set of a film.
