**KOCHI, April 17, 2025** – Actor Shine Tom Chacko made a dramatic escape from a police drug raid at a Kochi hotel this morning, evading authorities in a scene described as “movie-like.”
Police arrived at the hotel to conduct a narcotics test on a group known as “Dansaf” in room 314. Before police could reach the room, Chacko reportedly jumped from the second-floor window onto a sheet below, causing it to tear under his weight. He then reportedly swam across the hotel pool, ran through the hotel, and escaped by flagging down a passing two-wheeler.
Police suspect Chacko possessed incriminating evidence, given the lengths he went to avoid apprehension. A search of the room and another individual present with Chacko yielded no illicit substances. Authorities are investigating whether Chacko was tipped off about the impending raid. A manhunt for the actor is currently underway.
