**Kottayam, Kerala –** A private bus carrying pilgrims from Karnataka to the Sabarimala Ayyappa temple overturned near Erumely in Kottayam, Kerala on Wednesday, resulting in one death and over 20 injuries. The accident occurred around 6:30 AM as the bus, carrying 32 passengers including seven children, was navigating a sharp bend and steep incline on the highway.
One 45-year-old man died at the scene. Five passengers sustained serious injuries and were transported to Kottayam Medical College. Approximately 18 others received first aid at nearby hospitals for minor injuries. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
