Wed Apr 16 12:44:57 UTC 2025: ## Agri-Tech MoU Signed at SASTRA Hackathon
**Thanjavur, April 16, 2025** – A memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at boosting agri-tech innovation was signed at the closing ceremony of the AgriTech Hackathon 2025, held at the Thirumalaisamudhram campus of SASTRA deemed-to-be university. The event, a collaboration between the Association for Bio-inspired Leaders and Entrepreneurs at SASTRA TBI (ABLEST) and the Trichy Agribusiness Incubation Forum (TABIF) of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), saw 44 interdisciplinary teams tackling real-world agricultural challenges.
The MoU focuses on accelerating innovation, empowering startups, and bridging the gap between academic research and practical solutions. Participants addressed key agricultural areas including soil and water management, food processing, farm mechanization, export solutions, inclusive technologies for differently-abled farmers, and innovative approaches like farmer credit scoring and DNA-based specimen analysis.
To encourage startup growth, StartupTN is offering free intellectual property registration and company incorporation support to the top three teams. This initiative aims to help them translate their innovative ideas into successful ventures.
