**ALAPPUZHA, INDIA (April 16, 2025)** – Cherthala police have made four more arrests in an ongoing investigation into a large-scale online fraud scheme. The suspects include two Nepalese nationals, Ajith Khadka and Prince Dev, and two Indian citizens from Uttar Pradesh, Abineeth Yadav and Sanjay Dubey. This follows the arrest of two other Uttar Pradesh residents, Sahil and Shubham Srinivastav, over a month ago.
Authorities allege the group defrauded numerous victims across India, including in Cherthala, by transferring funds to foreign accounts. Police recovered bank passbooks and digital devices during the arrests of the Nepalese citizens. All four suspects were remanded in judicial custody following a court appearance on Tuesday.
