Tue Apr 15 22:10:00 UTC 2025: **College Basketball Transfer Frenzy: Florida State Star Ewin Heads to Arkansas**

TALLAHASSEE, FL – The college basketball transfer portal continues to be a whirlwind, with over 2,000 players seeking new teams. Florida State is significantly impacted, with ten players from last year’s roster entering the portal. Among them is star big man Malique Ewin, who has found a new home.

Ewin, a former top-ranked JUCO prospect, averaged 14.2 points and 7.6 rebounds per game for Florida State last season, leading the ACC in field goal percentage. His impressive passing and ball-handling skills for a center made him a highly sought-after transfer.

Ewin announced his commitment to the Arkansas Razorbacks, joining Coach Eric Musselman’s program fresh off a Sweet 16 appearance. He will fill a void left by departing players such as Zvonimir Ivisic and Adou Thiero.

Ewin is the third Seminole to find a new team, following Taylor Bol Bowen (Alabama) and Daquan Davis (Providence). Several other FSU players, including Jamir Watkins, Chandler Jackson, Justin Thomas, Jerry Deng, Christian Nitu, Waka Mbatch, and Anastasios Rozakeas, remain in the portal.

Florida State currently has eight players confirmed on its roster for the upcoming season. While Ewin’s offensive skills are undeniable, he will need to improve his defense and physicality to succeed in the SEC.
