**TIRUPATTUR, April 16, 2025** – Eight people were injured Tuesday when a private bus crashed into a tree near Vaniyambadi town in Tamil Nadu. The accident occurred on the Alangayam Main Road at Sunnambukulam village.
Police reported that the driver, 48-year-old R. Murugan, lost control of the bus while en route to Krishnagiri with 20 passengers. The driver and seven front-seat passengers sustained injuries. Passersby assisted in rescuing the injured and notified authorities.
The injured were transported to the Government Taluk Hospital in Vaniyambadi. Traffic was briefly disrupted, but an alternative bus was arranged for the remaining passengers. A police investigation is underway.
