KOZHIKODE, April 16, 2025 – Telangana Panchayati Raj Minister D. Anasuya ‘Seethakka’ has accused the BJP of attempting to replace the Indian Constitution with Manu Dharma, the ancient Hindu legal code. Speaking at a Dr. B.R. Ambedkar commemoration event in Kozhikode on Tuesday, she emphasized the Constitution’s importance in enabling her rise from a tribal woman to a Minister. She warned that the Constitution is under threat and called on citizens to protect it.
Ms. Anasuya further alleged that the BJP is employing a “divide and rule” strategy, similar to the British Raj, to destabilize the country through misinformation. She likened the Congress party’s current efforts to defend the Constitution to its historical struggle for Indian independence. She concluded by vowing that the Congress would not tolerate any insults against Dr. Ambedkar. The event was presided over by DCC president K. Praveenkumar.
