**Vijayawada, April 16, 2025** – Andhra Pradesh Home Minister V. Anitha today accused the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) of orchestrating a campaign to incite religious conflict and damage the reputation of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) and the state government.

Speaking to the media following a State Cabinet meeting, Minister Anitha alleged that the YSRCP is employing deceptive tactics to create religious clashes. She specifically cited the recent death of Pastor Praveen Pagadala in Rajamahendravaram, claiming the YSRCP falsely portrayed the accidental death as a murder to fuel religious tensions.

Minister Anitha also criticized former TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy for involving the religious institution in political maneuvering. She highlighted TTD EO J. Syamala Rao’s clarification regarding the TTD and its Goshalas, emphasizing the sanctity of Tirumala and condemning the YSRCP’s use of the TTD for their political campaigns.

Regarding the ongoing Tirupati laddu controversy, the Home Minister assured that the SIT investigation will be swiftly concluded, and those responsible will face punishment. She also referenced previous false narratives surrounding a pink diamond, stating that despite clarifications from the Archaeology Department, misinformation continues to circulate. Minister Anitha firmly stated that attempts to defame the TTD and the government will not be tolerated.
