**TIRUPATI, April 15, 2025** – BFG India, a subsidiary of Bahrain-based BFG International, has manufactured the interiors, modular toilet cabins, and aerodynamic front ends for India’s new Vande Bharat Sleeper Express trains. The components, carrying the “Made in Sri City” tag, were produced at the company’s Tirupati district facility.
BFG India, established in 2009, specializes in Fibre-Reinforced Plastic (FRP) products known for their lightweight, durable, and fire-resistant properties. The company’s contribution to the Vande Bharat Sleeper Express includes the creation of 823 berths and 51 toilets, including accessible cabins, featuring EN45545 HL3-compliant FRP panels – a first in India. This marks a significant expansion for BFG, which previously supplied components for the inaugural Vande Bharat Express in a record 10 months.
The company’s expertise extends beyond railway projects. BFG India has also supplied components for several metro rail projects across India, including Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Lucknow, and Kochi, and contributed to the Kochi Water Metro project by manufacturing catamaran ferry superstructures.
BFG India Vice President K. Premamoorthy expressed pride in the company’s role in the Vande Bharat Sleeper project, highlighting its contribution to the modernization of railway infrastructure. Sri City founder and managing director Ravindra Sannareddy also celebrated the success, emphasizing the diverse applications of “Made @ Sri City” products across various sectors.
