**Dharmapuri, April 15, 2025** – A tragic incident occurred in Hogenakkal on Monday, resulting in the drowning deaths of two girls. Bhagyalakshmi (10) and Kavya (16) were on a family outing to the popular tourist spot when they ventured too far into the Cauvery River near Alambadi while bathing. Despite the family raising the alarm and subsequent search efforts by the Fire and Rescue Services, the girls were found deceased. Hogenakkal police have launched an investigation and registered a case.
