**Mangaluru, April 15, 2025** – Indian Railways will operate special trains between SMVT Bengaluru and Mangaluru Junction to accommodate the expected surge in passenger traffic during the summer holidays.
The 06579 SMVT Bengaluru – Mangaluru Junction Summer Special Express will depart Bengaluru at 11:55 PM on April 17th, arriving in Mangaluru Junction at 4:00 PM the following day. The return train, 06580 Mangaluru Junction – SMVT Bengaluru Summer Special Express, will leave Mangaluru Junction at 2:10 PM on April 20th and reach Bengaluru at 7:30 AM the next day.
Both trains will consist of a variety of classes, including first AC, AC two-tier, AC three-tier, sleeper class, and general second class coaches, along with luggage vans equipped for disabled passengers. This schedule aims to alleviate travel congestion anticipated during the peak summer season.
