Mon Apr 14 18:39:07 UTC 2025: **Bihar Opposition Leader Attacks BJP on Ambedkar Jayanti**

PATNA, Bihar— April 14, 2025 — Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Bihar’s Leader of the Opposition, Tejashwi Yadav, marked B.R. Ambedkar’s 135th birth anniversary by visiting a Dalit family and sharing a traditional meal of Sattu. The event, part of a state-wide RJD initiative honoring Ambedkar, saw Yadav participate in a program in Rampur Panchayat, Raghopur Assembly constituency, where he received a warm welcome.

Yadav used the occasion to criticize Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing them of neglecting the rights and welfare of Dalits and backward communities. He alleged that the BJP aims to maintain Dalits in a state of servitude, contrasting their actions with the RJD’s commitment to social justice. He highlighted the increase in reservation under previous RJD-led governments and the subsequent attempts to curtail these policies under the current NDA government.

Yadav further accused the BJP of undermining Ambedkar’s ideology and the Indian Constitution, claiming they are instead promoting the ideologies of M.S. Golwalkar and Nathuram Godse. He dismissed speculation about the BJP’s choice of Chief Ministerial candidate for upcoming elections, suggesting internal conflicts within the party. Yadav expressed confidence in the Mahagathbandhan’s ability to form the next Bihar government.
