Tue Apr 15 05:10:46 UTC 2025: ## Karnataka CM to Inaugurate New Super-Specialty Hospital and Lay Foundation Stones for ₹600 Crore Projects in Kalaburagi

**Kalaburagi, Karnataka – April 15, 2025** – Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will be in Kalaburagi on April 16th to inaugurate a new ₹116 crore super-specialty hospital and lay foundation stones for various development projects totaling ₹492 crore. The Chief Minister, along with AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge and Deputy CM D. K. Shivakumar, will also attend a divisional-level job fair.

The new super-specialty hospital is located on the eighth, ninth, and tenth floors of the Gulbarga Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS). The ₹492 crore worth of projects include a 200-bed extension for the VTSM peripheral cancer centre (₹76 crore), a Mother and Child Hospital (₹92 crore), and an Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health (₹92 crore). Further projects include a Skill Development Centre (₹50 crore), a Government Tools and Training Centre building (₹53 crore), a Government ITI College building (₹21 crore), an Allied Health Science Institute building (₹50 crore), an Arogya Bhavan (₹23 crore), and an auditorium at the Government Degree College (₹34 crore). The combined investment in these projects surpasses ₹600 crore.
