**Bhopal, April 15, 2025** – Rudraksh Shukla, son of Indore BJP MLA Goli Shukla, has been named in a First Information Report (FIR) along with seven others for allegedly assaulting a priest at a Dewas temple. The incident, which occurred late Sunday night, involved a convoy of vehicles with red beacons and hooters forcibly entering the temple.
The initial FIR, filed on Monday, only included one accused. However, after reviewing CCTV footage that went viral online and taking witness statements, police added Shukla and seven others on Tuesday. Four of the seven vehicles involved have been seized.
The incident sparked outrage, with the Congress party criticizing the ruling BJP and demanding action. A source within the Madhya Pradesh BJP revealed that the state leadership and the RSS are unhappy with the incident. Dewas Additional Superintendent of Police Jaiveer Bhadoriya confirmed the additions to the FIR and the ongoing investigation.
