**HOSUR, April 15, 2025** – The AIADMK staged protests in Hosur on Tuesday, criticizing the Hosur Corporation for its alleged inadequacy in providing civic amenities. Hundreds of party cadres gathered outside the TANGEDCO office, condemning the corporation’s performance across various sectors.
Protesters cited failures in sanitation, water supply and distribution, and sewerage treatment and management. They argued that the corporation’s high taxes do not reflect the quality of services provided.
The demonstrations also included strong reactions to recent controversial remarks made by Forests Minister K. Ponmudy. Women AIADMK members garlanded a poster of Mr. Ponmudy with slippers, demanding his resignation. Following the protests, Mr. Ponmudy was reportedly stripped of his post as the party’s deputy general secretary.
