**Milwaukee, WI – April 14, 2025** – A 17-year-old Wisconsin teenager, Nikita Casap, has been charged with the first-degree murder of his parents, Tatiana Casap and Donald Mayer, and faces further federal allegations of plotting to assassinate President Donald Trump and overthrow the government.
Casap was arrested last month in Kansas after fleeing the scene of the crime where the decomposing bodies of his parents were discovered in their home outside Milwaukee on February 28th. Authorities allege he shot them weeks earlier, then stole $14,000 in cash, passports, and the family dog before his arrest.
According to a recently unsealed federal warrant, Casap’s alleged plan involved purchasing a drone and explosives, communicating with others, including a Russian speaker, and drafting a three-page antisemitic manifesto praising Adolf Hitler. The manifesto detailed his intentions to assassinate President Trump and trigger governmental collapse. Federal authorities cited communications on TikTok and Telegram as evidence.
The warrant states that Casap viewed the murders of his parents as a means to secure the financial resources and independence necessary to execute his larger plan. Prosecutors allege he planned to flee to Ukraine.
Casap is currently being held in Waukesha County jail on a $1 million bond. His public defender, Nicole Ostrowski, has moved to dismiss some state charges, citing his age and arguing insufficient evidence. A plea is expected next month. While the county charges include theft and hiding a corpse, the federal charges center on the alleged assassination plot and the murder of his parents to facilitate it.
