**NELLORE, April 14, 2025** – SEIL Energy India Limited (SEIL), a Nellore-based independent power producer, marked the beginning of National Fire Service Fortnight on April 28th, 2025, with a series of fire safety initiatives. The fortnight, commemorating the sacrifices of firefighters at the Bombay Dockyard fire in 1944, focuses on the theme “Unite to Ignite, a Fire Safe India.”
SEIL, which operates a 2.64 GW supercritical thermal power generation complex, conducted fire safety drills, training sessions, and awareness programs for its employees. Inspections of fire safety equipment and infrastructure were also carried out.
CEO Raghav Trivedi emphasized the company’s commitment to the safety of its employees, stakeholders, and the community. The event, attended by senior officials including Sunil Kumar Gupta, Head (Operations and Maintenance), aimed to foster a strong safety culture within SEIL and beyond. Participants paid homage to the martyrs of the 1944 Bombay Dockyard fire.
