**Hyderabad, [Date of Publication]** – The Telangana government has launched the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme 2025, a program aimed at empowering economically disadvantaged communities. The scheme offers subsidized loans of up to ₹4 lakh to individuals from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Castes (BC), minority communities, and Economically Backward Classes/Economically Weaker Sections (EBC/EWS) to start their own businesses.
The initiative targets young adults aged 21-55 (non-agricultural) and 21-60 (agricultural), with income limits of ₹1.5 lakh annually for rural residents and ₹2 lakh for urban residents. Applicants must provide documentation including a ration card (or income certificate), caste certificate, and other relevant documents based on the chosen business (driving license for transport, pattadar passbook for agriculture, etc.). Persons with disabilities (PWDs) require a SADAREM certificate, and vulnerable group certification is also necessary.
A key provision limits one self-employment scheme per household within a five-year period. Priority will be given to PWDs with at least 5% disability, kin of martyrs from the Telangana agitation, and applicants possessing relevant pre-existing skills.
