Hisar, Haryana – Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated a new commercial flight route connecting Hisar to Ayodhya and laid the foundation stone for a new terminal building at Hisar Airport. The new terminal, estimated to cost over ₹410 crore, will include state-of-the-art passenger and cargo facilities, as well as an air traffic control building. The project is slated for completion within two years.
The launch marks a significant step in improving air connectivity in Haryana, with plans for twice-weekly flights to Ayodhya and increased services to Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Chandigarh. The initiative is part of the Prime Minister’s broader commitment to make air travel more accessible and affordable.
This event is one of several development projects worth ₹10,000 crore launched by PM Modi in Haryana today, coinciding with the birth anniversary of B.R. Ambedkar. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and other state ministers were in attendance. The new airport is expected to boost regional connectivity and economic growth in the state.
