**Hyderabad, April 14, 2025** – The Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme, aimed at fostering self-employment among Telangana’s youth, has received an overwhelming response in Hyderabad. By the April 14th deadline, over 1.3 lakh applications poured in, primarily submitted online (104,556). The remaining 26,992 were submitted physically.
The Telangana State Minorities Finance Corporation processed the highest number of applications (67,321), followed by BC/EBC Finance Corporations (34,719), SC Finance Corporation (26,260), and ST Finance Corporation (3,248). A significant portion of applications (over one-third) originated from just three mandals: Asifnagar, Bandlaguda, and Bahadurpura. Saidabad, Khairatabad, Charminar, and Nampally also saw considerable applicant numbers.
The scheme offers financial assistance of up to ₹4 lakh to underprivileged youth, combining subsidies and bank loans. The government targets 5 lakh beneficiaries statewide. Mandal and district-level committees will screen applications based on district targets, with final approvals granted by the District Collector after ministerial clearance.
