**NEW ORLEANS, LA** – A motorcyclist died in a single-vehicle accident on the Almonaster Avenue overpass near Jourdan Road in New Orleans East late Saturday night. According to the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD), the motorcyclist, whose identity has not yet been released, was traveling southbound when he failed to negotiate a right turn and struck a concrete barrier. Emergency responders arrived on the scene shortly after 10 p.m., but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
