Mon Apr 14 15:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Controversial No-Ball Saves Badoni in IPL 2025 Clash

**Lucknow, India** – A controversial no-ball call saved Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) batsman Ayush Badoni from dismissal during their IPL 2025 match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Badoni was caught by Vijay Shankar off Matheesha Pathirana’s bowling, but the umpire ruled the delivery a no-ball as it was deemed above shoulder height.

This was the third such no-ball bowled by Pathirana in the over. Badoni failed to capitalize on the subsequent free hit, scoring only a single run. He was later given out lbw by Ravindra Jadeja, but a successful review overturned the decision after it was revealed the ball grazed his glove before hitting his pad. However, his reprieve was short-lived, as he was subsequently stumped later in the same over.

Badoni scored 22 runs off 17 balls, including two sixes and a four, before his dismissal. His 32-run partnership with Rishabh Pant helped stabilize LSG’s innings after they were 73/3. The match concluded with LSG at 105/4 at the time of this report. Further details of the match are pending.
