**Hyderabad, April 14, 2025** – The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has demanded a public apology from the Congress leadership for allegedly failing to fulfill promises made to Scheduled Castes (SCs) in Telangana. Speaking at a Dr. B.R. Ambedkar birth anniversary event, BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao accused Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, and MP Rahul Gandhi of deceiving the people. Rao questioned the fate of promises outlined in the party’s Dalit declaration.

The BRS criticized the current Congress government led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, alleging a failure to uphold Ambedkar’s constitutional values. Other BRS leaders, including former minister Koppula Eshwar and R.S. Praveen Kumar, echoed these sentiments, accusing both Congress and BJP of undermining Ambedkar’s legacy. They highlighted the BRS government’s initiatives like Dalit Bandhu and Gurukul institutions as examples of fulfilling Ambedkar’s vision. Legislative Council Opposition leader G. Madhusudhana Chary credited Ambedkar’s Constitution with empowering Telangana’s formation as a separate state. The event concluded with BRS leaders paying tribute to Dr. Ambedkar.
