**Hyderabad, April 14, 2025** – The Telangana government is set to launch a new online portal dedicated to public governance, tentatively scheduled for June 2nd, Telangana’s State Formation Day. The portal, modeled after Rajasthan’s Jan Soochna portal, will provide citizens with granular details about government schemes and their eligibility.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced the initiative after a meeting with senior officials and civil society representatives. The CM emphasized the need for transparency, stating that citizens should be aware of their entitlements and the status of their applications. The portal will aim to provide this information online, streamlining access to government services.
A committee headed by Special Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao has been tasked with developing operational guidelines for the portal. The committee will also determine which information can be publicly disclosed while respecting confidentiality and personal security laws.
Civil society organizations have welcomed the initiative, highlighting Telangana’s robust digital infrastructure as a resource for improving public services. The government plans to finalize the portal’s details and launch it on June 2nd, coinciding with the state’s formation day. The initiative also includes developing standard operating procedures for schemes, particularly Prajavani, to ensure timely redressal of grievances and efficient delivery of benefits to eligible beneficiaries.
