Mon Apr 14 01:00:00 UTC 2025: ## BJP Leader Pays Tribute to Ambedkar, Accuses Congress of Disrespect
**Karimnagar, Telangana, April 14, 2025** – Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bhanu Prakash, today led a motorcycle rally in Karimnagar to commemorate B.R. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary. The rally started from Ambedkar Stadium and culminated at a statue of the Dalit icon, which was subsequently cleaned by participants.
Speaking at the event, Prakash lauded Ambedkar’s contributions to uplifting marginalized communities. He sharply criticized the Congress party, accusing them of repeatedly disrespecting Ambedkar throughout his life and even after his death. Prakash cited examples such as Congress’s opposition to Ambedkar’s views on the Hindu Code Bill and social justice, leading to Ambedkar’s resignation from the Law Ministry. He further alleged that Congress orchestrated Ambedkar’s defeat in the 1952 elections and even made his widow pay for his airfare when his body was transported to Mumbai for cremation instead of Delhi.
Prakash contrasted this with the current BJP government, claiming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration is actively working towards fulfilling Ambedkar’s ideals. The event included a large-scale motorcycle rally with BJP members chanting “Jai Bheem, Jai BJP.” Several BJP leaders, including former MLA Bodiga Shobha and BJP district president Gangadi Krishna Reddy, participated in the rally and subsequent events.
In a separate event in Karimnagar Rural, Prakash urged the public to remember the Modi government’s achievements and remain steadfast in their support for the BJP. He highlighted the disparity in funding for the state’s food distribution program, criticizing the Telangana government for its limited contribution. He also called for the placement of Prime Minister Modi’s photograph at ration shops.
