**Tehran, Iran –** Gold prices in Tehran experienced a significant drop on Farvardin 25th, 1404 (April 14th, 2025), following a decrease in the value of the US dollar. The price of 18-karat gold plummeted by 735,000 tomans, reaching 6,643,000 tomans per gram – an 11% decrease. A *misqal* (approximately 4.6 grams) of 18-karat gold fell by 3,262,000 tomans, settling at 28,688,000 tomans.

Interestingly, while 18-karat gold declined sharply, the price of 24-karat gold saw an increase of 980,000 tomans, reaching 8,857,000 tomans per gram. Used gold also experienced a price hike, increasing by 725,000 tomans to 6,554,000 tomans per gram. Globally, the price of gold remained at $3236.21 per ounce. The significant fluctuation in gold prices is directly attributed to the recent changes in the dollar exchange rate within the Tehran market.
