Sun Apr 13 11:30:00 UTC 2025: **Hulu’s New Reality Show “Got to Get Out” Ends in Dramatic Finale**
LOS ANGELES, CA – Hulu’s new reality competition series, “Got to Get Out,” concluded its first season with a dramatic finale, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats. The show, which premiered on April 11th, pitted nine reality TV veterans against eleven rookies in a high-stakes game for a $1 million prize.
The premise involved contestants vying for a chance to escape a mansion, with the prize money increasing by $1 per second. Players received secret exit strategies, timed to specific windows or doors opening at certain prize amounts. Escape, however, wasn’t easy. A long run to the gates awaited, and a watchful housemate could hit a button, closing the gates and trapping the escapee.
Early success came for Cynthia Bailey and Stein Retzlaff, who masterfully strategized to escape with $312,060 in Episode 5, splitting the winnings evenly. Further departures followed, with Clare Crawley and Jill Ashlock voluntarily leaving in Episode 6.
The finale saw tense alliances and betrayals. Spencer Pratt orchestrated a nearly successful escape attempt with a team of four, thwarted only by the sharp eyes of Rashad Jennings. Another attempt by Lindsey Coffey and Shane Dougherty was sabotaged by Steve Helling’s fabricated advantage, resulting in their failure. The final attempt by Athena Vas and Nick “Doodles” Metzler was also foiled when Steve Helling, fearing he wouldn’t receive his share, pressed the button prematurely.
Ultimately, no one successfully escaped in the finale. The remaining sixteen contestants, including Spencer Pratt, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, and others, split the remaining $687,940 pot, each receiving $42,996. “Got to Get Out” Season 1 is now streaming on Hulu.
